Data collected

Daf Study uses Azure Application Insights to collect your IP address, the URL you visit, your device and browser type, performance data, and technical errors. The URL may identify the tractate and daf you view. No user account is created.

The Cloudflare-hosted site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views, referring websites, device types and page performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies or identify individual visitors.

Purpose

This data is used only to measure usage, diagnose errors, improve performance, and prevent abuse.

Retention and hosting

Data is sent to Microsoft Azure and stored in a Log Analytics workspace configured for 30-day retention. Data ingestion is capped at 0.1 GB per day.

Your choices

Application Insights cookies are disabled. Blocking requests to Azure Monitor domains and Cloudflare's analytics beacon in your browser prevents those measurements without blocking access to study pages.
